IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING THE MSTA PAC

The MSTA Legislative Committee has been working very hard, along with our legislative consultant Judy Augenstein and our legal staff Joe Quandt and Gina Bozzer. The Legislative Committee has put in numerous hours of deliberations in trying to move septage haulers' objectives forward to benefit ALL licensed septage haulers. Not only have the put in many hours of donated time, but also have made up 80% of ALL the contributions donated to the MSTA PAC Fund. All these hours and monies are to benefit ALL septage haulers not just the few that are putting forth the time and monies. We owe these people a great deal for all they have done. The language is being drafted presently and will be introduced shortly into the House of Representatives by Representative Dan Scripps and into the Senate by Senator Michelle McManus. This will require a local unit of government that bans land application of septage to make available a receiving facility that is within 25 road miles of their furthest boundary line.  The portable toilet bill looks like it will become a MIOSHA requirement to have a unit on a building site, thanks to Representative Mark Meadows. The weight restriction bill is being debated by the House Transportation Committee and will be introduced in the future. (Senator Roger Kahn is vice-chairman of this committee) The MSTA PAC Fund has already sponsored $550.00 worth of political contributions so far in 2010 and we are only 5 weeks into the year. It consisted of:Senator Michelle McManus - $150Senator Roger Kahn - $150Representative Dan Scripps - $250

I am hoping you can do your part and send in a donation to the MSTA PAC Fund. Any amount will be accepted, please send whatever you can afford! Remember these issues are going to benefit you!!!

We need your help. Send your donations as a personal check to:
